  1. Thanks for the memories! I went through at P. I. in 1981, still remember it like it was yesterday. All Marines are still made the same — no matter what year you went!

Still love the Corp went to boot camp back in 1969 got out in 73. When did they start wearing Dress Blues for graduation? When I was in you had to be assigned to spwcial duty to get them or buy them yourself.

Semper fidelis, Wally! This brings back the best 35 years of my life! More fun than I should have been allowed to have.

  4. Mike says:

Highly motivating. Been retired 9 years now and it seems like yesterday I stood on the yellow footprints. Still making Marines true and sound.

Thanks! I’m sure my experience in 1975 was different form 1965. The making of Marines are still the same.

Cpl. Beddoe Thanks for continually bringing great things for us to view, read and things that bring back memories.

Thanks for sharing that with us Wally.

  8. Brook says:

MCRD SD or PI doesn’t make a difference… Marines are Marines, but you are right… a lot different than 1965, when we had real rifles, not toys.
